Foster Inquiry

Foster Inquiry

Thank you for your interest in becoming a foster parent for Kitten Rescue!

A volunteer staff member will get back to you within two days of submitting this form. If you do not see a response within that time, please check your junk mail folder.

We are sorry, but we require foster families to live in Mason or Thurston County so that the kittens or cats can be brought to the shelter several times during the foster period.
Please check all that apply:

Tell us about your family, pets and lifestyle

If you rent, you must have your landlord's permission.

Since foster kittens will not have had their vaccinations yet, their immunity is fragile. Therefore, all foster families are required to have their other pets up-to-date on vaccinations.

A smaller separate space (such as a bathroom, spare room, laundry room) is usually necessary for the kittens to adjust to a new place and get to know the foster family. Also, separation is required for the health and safety of the foster kittens and cats as well as the health of your pets if you have any.

We prefer our foster Parents not to be gone longer than 4 hours for kittens under 5 weeks of age even if there is a mama cat.

Several Medical treatment trips for the foster babies will be required during their foster period. Appointments will be made and it is the responsibility of the Fosterer to remember and follow through for these appointments.
